A-1 Air Conditioning: A Legacy of Comfort, Community, and Family
For nearly 60 years, A-1 Air Conditioning has proudly delivered trusted HVAC service rooted in family values, integrity, and community care.
Founded in the mid-1960s by Earl and Martha Cash in Tallahassee, Florida, A-1 started as a humble family business dedicated to keeping homes comfortable. In the early 1980s, the Cash family fell in love with Franklin County and found themselves spending all of their free time there. They decided to expand and relocate to Franklin County, where they’ve proudly served their neighbors for over 40 years.
Earl and Martha passed the torch in the early 2000s to their children, Buck and Carolyn, along with their son-in-law, Corky. While Buck eventually pursued other opportunities in Georgia's HVAC industry, he remained closely connected to the business. Now back in Florida, he is recognized as a leading sales professional in the HVAC equipment industry, having earned numerous awards for his outstanding performance and industry expertise.
Carolyn and Corky continue to carry on the day-to-day operations with the same dedication and care that began nearly 6 decades ago. In 2014, as their father’s health declined, Carolyn took on the challenge of becoming the licensed qualifier for A-1 Air Conditioning. After months of studying and determination, she passed the State of Florida's rigorous HVAC licensing exam, becoming the county’s first and only Florida Certified Woman-Owned HVAC business.
Carolyn’s drive to honor her father’s legacy as a proud “Daddy’s girl” continues to inspire the work we do every day. Together with Corky and a long-time, loyal crew, A-1 Air Conditioning remains committed to honest service, expert workmanship, and treating our customers like family.
Although Buck is now in equipment sales, he remains dedicated & actively involved, often working closely with Carolyn and Corky to advance the business.
