- How Often to Clean Dryer Vents
There are several factors that may influence how often you should clean your dryer vent, including household size, how frequently you do laundry, and laundry load sizes. It's recommended that you should at least clean your dryer vents once a year.
- Signs Your Dryer Vent Is Clogged
If you haven't cleaned your dryer vent in awhile, there are certain indicators that your unit is due for a cleaning, including extra lint buildup in your trap filter, excess dry times of your clothing, a burning smell coming from your laundry room, or a hot and humid exterior.
How do we clean your dryer vent?
- First we inspect your dryer unit and its air exhaust vent.
- If the lint trap needs cleaning, we will remove and clean the filter, as well as vacuum the lint trap housing.
- Next, we disconnect the dryer and move it away from the wall. We will then clean the back of the dryer.
- We detach the dryer vent to clean out the duct and the outside exhaust vent with the proper agitation devices, vacuuming out all trapped lint and debris.
- Once everything is cleaned out, our technicians will carefully reattach the ductwork and reconnect the dryer.
